SharePoint Landing Pages and Home Pages

Pages

Overview: Landing Pages in SharePoint are used as the “launching pad” to areas such as resources, announcements, and documents for a particular audience or group. Landing Pages are more visual in nature and utilize many of the web parts that SharePoint has to offer.

Adding a Page

To create a new page, select the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Select Add a Page.

Here, you can create a new page within SharePoint.

Publishing a Page

Publish your page by selecting Publish in the upper right corner. Please note: any changes will not be visible to other users until you publish the changes.

Adding from an Existing Page

1. Navigate to an existing page. Click + New.

2. Select Start from a blank page. Or choose Copy of this page to create a new page that has the same layout and content as the existing page.
