Deleting wireless profile on macOS

  • If the Wi-Fi settings were installed as a configuration profile (e.g., from an employer, school, or VPN), you must remove the management profile itself:
  • Open System Settings (or System Preferences).
  • Search for "Profiles" in the search bar, or navigate directly to Privacy & Security (or Profiles on older macOS) and scroll down to the Other section.
  • Select the wireless configuration profile from the list.
  • Click the minus button (-) or Delete Profile option.
  • Enter your Mac’s administrator password to authenticate and confirm the deletion.
