Law School - Student MacOS Printer Instructions for Bluhm Legal Clinic

This document guides students through the steps to install and connect the Bluhm Legal Clinic Printer on your MacOS Computer.

Install the printer driver

1. In the Finder, click Go > Connect to Server...
2. As the Server Address, enter smb://obed.law.northwestern.edu/share, then click Connect.
3. As the username and password enter LAW\<Your NetID> and your NetID Password.
4. Double-click Ricoh_PS_Printers_Vol4_EXP_LIO_4.0.0.0.dmg to open the file.
5. Double-click Ricoh_PS_Printers_Vol4_EXP_LIO_Driver.pkg
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this installation.

Connect to the printer

1. Click Apple > System Preferences... > Printers & Scanners.
2. Click +.
3. From the toolbar, click Advanced.
   • If the Advanced Button is not on your toolbar:
     1. Right-click the toolbar, and click Customize Toolbar.
     2. Drag the Advanced button to your toolbar and click Done.
4. In the Type dropdown menu, select Windows printer via spoolss.
5. In the URL box, enter smb://obed.law.northwestern.edu/Clinic_Ricoh_Students
6. In the Name box, enter Clinic_Ricoh_Students
7. In the Use dropdown menu, select Select Software.
8. In the search box, enter Ricoh MP 4055.
9. From the search results list, select RICOH MP 4055 PS, then click OK.
10. When prompted to sign in, enter LAW\<Your NetID> and your NetID password.
