Save a Password
When signing into a new website:
- Enter your username and password
- 1Password will prompt you to Save Login
- Confirm the vault where you want to store it
Auto Fill Logins and Other Items
To fill an item on to a saved site:
- Navigate to the login page
- Click the username or password field
- 1Password will suggest saved logins
- If 1Password suggests more than one item, use the arrow keys to select the one you want
- You can also start typing to filter your saved items by name, site, or notes
This makes it easy to quickly locate the right login, even if you have multiple accounts for the same site.
Use a Suggested Password
When creating a new account:
- 1Password will offer a Suggested Password
- To use a suggested password, select the drop-down button in a password field and choose Use Suggested Password
Search in 1Password
Searching is the fastest way to find what you need.
- Open the 1Password pop-up and start typing
- Use arrow keys to navigate results
- Press Esc or click outside to cancel the search
View & Edit Items
Quick actions from the 1Password pop-up:
- To view item details: Select the item or use arrow keys on your keyboard
- To mark an item as a favorite: Click the ellipsis ⋮ and choose Add to Favorites
- To copy field: Click any field to copy
- To show a field in large type: Click the then select Show in Large Type
- To reveal a password: Click then select Reveal
- To edit item: Select ⋮ and choose Edit (opens in new tab for tags, custom fields, archive/delete)
Switch Accounts & Vaults
To see a list of your accounts, select: 
All Accounts.
- Select Everything to view all items, or choose a specific account
- To set which vaults are visible within 1Password, select Filter list and adjust the vaults, then select Save Changes.
Share an Item
- Open the 1Password pop-up
- Find and select the item you want to share
- Click ⋮ in the extension then select Share — the item will open on 1Password.com
- Choose who to share with and when the link expires
- Click Copy Link and send via email or message
Note: Shared links expire after a maximum of 24 hours and can be viewed only once.
The recipient will receive a link and must verify their email to access the item.
