After resetting your NetID password, you may find that certain Northwestern services on your iOS device stop working. If you had any of these services set to save your password, you will need to update them in order to keep using them after your NetID password changes.
Outlook for iOS
Use these steps if you get your mail through the app called
Outlook on your phone. If you use the
Mailapp, use the steps in the next section.
- Open the Outlook app
- Press on your account icon in the upper left hand corner
- Press on the gear icon in the lower left hand corner
- Press on your Northwestern Account
- Press Delete Account
- Follow the instructions here to get your @northwestern Email back on Outlook:
iOS Mail
Use these steps if you get your mail through the app called
Mail on your phone. If you use the
Outlookapp, use the steps in the previous section.
- Go to Settings
- Press on Passwords and Accounts
- Click Re-enter Password, if it appears.
- If Re-enter Passworddoes not appear, please navigate to your Mail app, and let the Mail app attempt to fetch new emails.
- If you do not see your latest emails, restart from step one.
- If you do see new emails, close the Mail app and try these steps again in a few minutes.
- Sign in with your NetID and password when prompted.
eduroam Wireless
- Go to Settings
- Press on Wi-Fi
- Press the next to eduroam
- Press Forget this network
- Find the eduroam network, press it,
- When prompted for credentials, use the following:
- Username: NetID@northwestern.edu
- Password: Your new NetID password
