Northwestern Print: Installing Mobility Print on Student Personal Devices

Summary

This article walks you through the process of installing Mobility Print on your non-university devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, or Chromebooks. You will be ale to use secure network print services on iOS, Windows, macOS, Android, and Chrome.

Body

Student personal devices (not owned and managed by Northwestern) will require Mobility Print to be installed to print in Northwestern Print.  Mobility Print simplifies the printing process for your own devices (BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices)) and other end-user managed devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, or Chromebooks. It delivers secure network print services for iOS, Windows, macOS, Android, and Chrome. It allows both managed and unmanaged devices to securely print to an MFD (Multi-Functional Devices) device on your network.

How do I set up Mobility Print?

·       Set up printing on your Mac

·       Set up printing for Windows

To run the Mobility Print Printer Setup Wizard, you will need administrator rights on the device to run this installer.

Select the StudentPay-BW-Duplex [Virtual Queue] and the StudentPay-Color-Duplex [Virtual Queue] and hit NEXT >.

Enter in your NetID and password, and then hit NEXT >

Hit Finish to complete the installation.

The following queues are now installed on your device:

·       StudentPay-BW-Duplex [Virtual Queue]

·       StudentPay-Color-Duplex [Virtual Queue]

Both queues will default to duplex printing, but both can be changed to allow single-sided printing when necessary. We recommend that the BW [Virtual Queue] be your default printer.
