Updating your photo in Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft applications

Update Photo with Delve

You can update the photo displayed in Outlook (desktop or Web version), Teams, and other Microsoft applications. Visit https://nam.delve.office.com/ and login. Near the top of the page, click the small camera icon next to the circular photo above your name and title.

One of two things will happen next:

  1. A "Change photo" tab may appear. Use the "Upload a new photo" link and the +/- keys to set up your photo.
  2. You may be taken to a new "Edit Details" page, with a "Change your photo" link near the bottom of the screen. The "Change photo" tab described above will then be displayed, and can be used to update your photo.

Alternate Method 1 - Outlook Web

  1. Visit https://mail.northwestern.edu and login. You should see your email inbox.
  2. Click on your existing photo (or your initials) in the small circle at the top right corner of the page.
  3. A larger version of the photo (or initials) will appear.
  4. Roll your mouse over the photo, and a camera icon will appear in the center.
  5. Click the camera icon, and proceed as outlined above.

Alternate Method 2 - Teams

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams application.
  2. Click on your existing photo (or your initials) in the small circle at the top right corner of the window.
  3. A larger version of the photo (or initials) will appear.
  4. Roll your mouse over the photo, and a camera icon will appear in the center.
  5. Click the camera icon, and proceed as outlined above.
