The following steps will help configure multiple monitors on your macOS device.
- Connect your laptop to the external monitor via a display cable, hub/adapter, or docking station. A prompt may appear to allow the device, select Allow.
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays.
- Select the Arrange button.
- Each monitor including the laptop screen will appear as a window. Select a windows and red border will appear around the screen.
- Rearrange the screens by dragging the windows.
- To change your primary display, drag the white toolbar to the monitor screen you prefer to be your primary.
