How to Enroll a Device Using the Enroll URL in JAMF Pro

This document provides step-by-step instructions for enrolling a Mac device using the JAMF Pro Enroll URL, including opening a web browser (preferably Safari), navigating to the enrollment URL, signing in with appropriate credentials, selecting the JAMF site if prompted, downloading the MDM configuration profile, accessing System Settings to find the profile, and installing the profile by approving prompts with admin credentials to complete the device enrollment process.

Step 1: Launch Web Browser on the Device 

Open the Browser on the Mac you want to use to enroll. Safari is recommended for proper handling of configuration profiles. 

Step 2: Navigate to the Enroll URL 

Go to: https://evcasper.ci.northwestern.edu:8443/enroll  

Step 3: Sign In with JAMF Pro Credentials 

If able, log in using the users NetID credentials – NetID and NetID Password. If you are unable to have the user login, use your JAMF Pro credentials. 

Note: If using your JAMF pro credentials, the device will be enrolled and attached to your NetID under User and Location. 

Step 4: Select the Appropriate Site (if prompted) 

If prompted, select the appropriate JAMF site for the device enrollment.

 

Click Continue to download MDM Configuration Profile 

Step 5: Download the MDM Configuration Profile 

Click 'Download' to get the configuration profile that will install the MDM framework. 

Step 6: Open System Settings > Profiles 

Go to System Settings (or System Preferences) > Profiles. Find the downloaded MDM profile. 

Step 7: Install the MDM Profile and Approve Prompts 

Click 'Install' and approve any prompts to complete enrollment and enable JAMF management. 

Enter Username and Password with Admin Privileges.
