New students should review the knowledge articles linked below for assistance setting up essential services they will need in order to access Northwestern University systems and complete important actions (e.g. making payments, registering for classes, etc.).
We recommend completing these tasks in the following order.
- Activate your NetID
- Enroll in DUO Multi-Factor Authentication
- Activate your Student Email (Google)
- Configure your devices for the campus wireless network
- Connect to the university VPN
Be Aware: It is necessary to connect to the VPN when attempting to access CAESAR from off campus.
