REDCap (Research Education Data Capture) is a web-based application that Feinberg uses for managing online surveys and databases. More information is available at http://nucats.northwestern.edu/resources/data-science-and-informatics/software-tools-development/redcap.html.

Users can log in to the REDCap interface at https://redcap.nubic.northwestern.edu/redcap. When off campus please use the REDCap SSL VPN at https://vpn-connect.northwestern.edu.

REDCap provides:

1. An intuitive interface for data entry (with data validation);
2. Audit trails for tracking data manipulation and export procedures;
3. Automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R); and
4. Procedures for importing data from external sources.
