Firebase Realtime Database Download

Log into Firebase
Select your project
On the left menu, select "Realtime Database"

If you do not see the Realtime Database option, click "Build" to reveal an expanded menu of items.

To download your data, click on the three-vertical-dots button to the right of the main window.

Select "Export JSON".

You will be prompted to save a JSON formatted data file to your local computer.
The jsonlite package for R can be used to parse JSON files.
