There are a number of scenarios where you may need to recruit additional participants into your Prolific study:
- Some participants encountered technical issues with the web experiment.
- The funds needed for your study exceeded $500 and had to be split up. The initial number of participants would have been smaller than the intended target.
First, make sure you have enough funds available to pay for the additional participants follow the standard procedures for requesting funds.
Log in to Prolific, select your study and click on the "Action" button near the top right of the study details page.
Select "Increase Places" and enter the new total number of participants needed for the study.
For example, if you started out the study with 10 participants and needed 5 more, enter 15 in the "Total available places" field.
Finally, click the "Increase" button to re-launch the study.
