Northwestern Print: Scan to SharePoint

​Scanning Instructions 

  1. ​Log in to the printer by either tapping your WildCard or logging in with your NetID credentials. 

  1. ​Touch Scan.

  1. ​Touch Scan to SharePoint.  ​

  1. ​Enter a meaningful name or keep the default date stamped name.

  1. ​If you need to change the settings, touch Settings.  ​

  1. ​Select the options you want to change.

  1. ​Load your originals into the auto-document feeder or place your single page on the copier glass, and touch Start Scanning.

  1. ​If you are scanning multiple pages on the copier glass, check the box “Prompt for more pages,” and touch Start Scanning.

  1. ​For each new page when using the copier glass, touch Scan more pages; otherwise touch Finish and Send.

​One-time SharePoint Authorization 

  1. ​Documents are scanned to a designated Northwestern SharePoint site and saved in a private folder unique to you. 

  1. ​The first time you scan a document to SharePoint, you will receive a one-time email authorization from scans@papercut.com to the email address associated with your login to the MFD. 

  1. ​Open the email, and click Login to SharePoint Online.

  1. ​Click Accept to grant PaperCut MF Scan to SharePoint.

  1. ​Sign in with <Your NetID>@ads.northwestern.edu and click Next

  1. ​Authenticate using DUO second factor authentication.

  1. ​This authorization will generate a confirmation message, and you can now access your files.

​​ Accessing Your Scanned Document in SharePoint 

  1. ​To get to your scanned document files, locate the email you received from Scans for PaperCut <scans@papercut.com> that they are ready, and click Go to your scan!.

  1. ​You will be presented with the document you scanned.  

  1. ​To see a list of all your scanned documents in your SharePoint folder, click the blue link.

  1. ​You will then see your SharePoint folder via your web browser and be prompted to move your document to local storage or your OneDrive.

​Moving Your Scanned Document from SharePoint to OneDrive 

  1. ​​To move your files to OneDrive:  

  1. ​Select the files.  

  1. ​​Click the three dots.  

  1. ​Click Move to​

  1. ​Click My Files, select the folder you would like to move your files to, and then click Move here.

  1. ​​You can now access your scans in OneDrive.
