Enabling Extended Security Updates for Windows Server 2012

To obtain Extended Security Updates (ESU) for Year 3, you must have previously purchased ESU licenses for Year 1 and Year 2.

  1. Purchase ESU Licenses
    ESU licenses can be purchased through CDW -G on IBuyNU. Ensure that you have proof of purchase for all three years (Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3).
  2. Submit a TDX Ticket
    After completing your purchase:
    • Open a TDX ticket.
    • Assign the ticket to NUIT-CI-PS-Infrastructure.
    • Attach proof of purchase to the ticket.
  3. Receive and Install Your ESU Key
    Once your request is processed, the Infrastructure team will provide you with a product key. You will use this key to activate ESU on your server using the installation commands provided below.
