Summary
To install Mobility Print on an unmanaged Windows computer, start by downloading the Mobility Print installer from the Northwestern Print website. Once the download is complete, run the installer with administrative privileges. The setup wizard will guide you through accepting the license agreement and selecting the appropriate printer options. After installation is complete, printers such as BW and Color will appear in your computer’s printer list.
Body
To run the Mobility Print Printer Setup, you will need administrator rights on your device.
Computers with multiple users should not use Mobility Print and instead consider using Print Deploy.
Overview
Faculty and staff using Windows devices not managed by an IT support team will not have Northwestern Print queues installed by default. These queues can be manually added using Mobility Print. To enable advanced print functionality of hole punch and stapling, please consult the knowledge base article on this topic.

How Do I Install Mobility Print?
- Download the Mobility Print Windows client from https://print.northwestern.edu:9164/client-setup/known-host/windows.html
- Run the downloaded Mobility Print installer (e.g., pc-mobility-print-printer-setup-1.0.329[print.northwestern.edu].exe)
- In the User Account Control prompt for Mobility Print Printer Setup, select YES (or enter your administrative credentials) to allow the installer to run.

- Accept the license agreement.
- Select the faculty/staff print queues BW [Black & White] and Color [Color]. Select Next.

- Enter your Northwestern NetID and password. Select Next.

- Select Finish to complete the installation process.

The following print queues are now installed on your device:
- BW [Black & White](Mobility)
- Color [Color](Mobility)

Note: Due to PaperCut software limitations, both queues will default to simplex (single sided) printing and color. The BW queue will automatically convert most jobs to black & white (grayscale). Individuals are strongly encouraged to configure both print queues to default to duplex printing and the BW queue to output in black & white. This will match the Northwestern Print Standard. The standard also recommends setting the BW queue as your default printer. Continue reading for directions on how to modify the default settings of these two print queues.
How Do I Set Print Queue Defaults?

Follow these directions to configure the defaults for both queues to follow the Northwestern Print Standard.
