This license provides access to DNASTAR software for all faculty, staff, and students of Northwestern University.

Inside the Lasergene folder are instructions for installing Lasergene (“Lasergene v17 Installation Instructions.pdf”). 

In order to operate, Lasergene needs to connect to the license server, which resides within the Northwestern network.  If you are on campus and connected via Ethernet, Lasergene should operate without trouble. However, if you are off campus, or on campus connected via Wi-Fi, you will need to establish a VPN connection in order for Lasergene to communicate with the license server.
