Adobe Creative Cloud

Northwestern University's agreement with Adobe offers the full Adobe Creative Cloud software suite for use by eligible faculty and staff with limited exceptions (see Eligibility section).

 

Downloads

Please contact your local technical support with any questions regarding new software installation or updating your operating system. This software is intended for users who use it to perform their job. It can only be installed by someone with administrator access on the computer.

 

E​​​​​​ligibility

Under Northwestern’s agreement with Adobe, the University is limited to providing Adobe software to:

  • Full- and part-time Northwestern faculty and staff
  • Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who hold TA or RA appointments in MyHR
  • Medill, McCormick, Weinberg, and School of Communication hold a limited number of student licenses which are evaluated individually for approval
  • Employees at Northwestern research cores or centers who qualify as benefits-eligible Northwestern faculty or staff
  • Temporary or contract employees may be eligible, depending on their work

All other graduate and undergraduate students or other non-eligible employees may purchase discounted software at the Adobe website.

How to Request Service

  • If you are an eligible Student, click the "Request Service" button to the right.
  • Faculty and Staff: To select and download Adobe software go to creativecloud.adobe.com select “Sign in with an Enterprise ID”, enter your @northwestern.edu email address, and then sign in with your NetID and password. From that page, you will be able to select the Adobe products you’d like to download and install.

 

Available Titles for Faculty and Staff

Adobe moved from a Volume License Model to a Named User Licensing (NUL). NUL packages for Acrobat and Creative Cloud are provided below. Both packages include the Creative Cloud desktop application which allows you to select any one of the available Adobe Products to download and install. These packages may be used as an alternative to downloading direct from creativecloud.adobe.com but may not always reflect the most updated software version.

Managed Installations

If you’re looking to install a subset of Adobe products for your end users or create a Shared Device Licensed package for classrooms and labs, please contact the Northwestern IT Endpoint Platforms staff at consultant@northwestern.edu.

Volume licensed packages that were serialized will have had their serial numbers permanently expired at the end of November, 2019. The volume license model is no longer available from Adobe. Please contact the Northwestern IT Endpoint Platforms team at consultant@northwestern.edu with any questions.
