The Graduate Student Progress system (GSP) is replacing the Graduate Student Tracking System (GSTS). It will go live for a small group of programs in early December 2024.
The Graduate Student Progress system (GSP) allows graduate programs to follow graduate student academic progress and view academic milestones and related activity in one place. GSP allows programs and students to view student records information directly from CAESAR, as well as additional information that students and programs input into the Graduate Student Progress system. GSP helps programs and students view information and keep track of progress related to:
- Advisor and committee
- Plan of study, including coursework planned and completed
- Annual progress, including awards, publications, research progress, meetings attended, teaching, and research goals
- Milestones (The Graduate School (TGS) and program-specific)
- TGS Forms (application for degree, master's degree completion, PhD qualifying exam, PhD prospectus, PhD final exam, petition for absence, and program withdrawal form)
Available to
- Graduate students
- School administrators
- Faculty
GSP is currently (as of December 2024) available on a pilot basis to a limited set of programs: Accounting Information & Management, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Psychology, and Bienen School of Music: Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy.
- Student access: Active students in The Graduate School and Music School can access GSP with their NetID and NetID Password
- Advisor/committee member access: Faculty who serve as graduate student advisors or committee members can access GSP to see the students for whom they serve as advisor or committee member once this information is entered in the system.
- Program administrator access: Program staff (graduate program assistants; department assistants; financial administrators, school administrators) and faculty administrators (DGSs; chairs) must request access to GSP by using the “Request Staff Access” menu item to the right, then selecting “manage GSTS” under Academic Program/Plan, and completing the related trainings.
