There are two methods you can use to log in to two different Office 365 web accounts at the same time on the same device. Note that these do not apply to email client configuration. Please refer to https://kb.northwestern.edu/87175 for these instructions.
Method #1:
Logging in using two different web browsers (i.e. Firefox and Chrome).
- In any web browser, log in to your Northwestern Microsoft 365 account.
- Using a different web browser from the first, log in to your other Microsoft 365 account.
Method #2:
Using Private/Incognito windows. This method allows you to log in to two M365 accounts from the same browser, but in different windows.
Chrome:
- Open Google Chrome and log into your Northwestern Microsoft 365 account
- Click the menu (the three dots icon in the top-right corner)
- Select "New Incognito Window" (shortcut keys: CTRL + SHIFT + N)
- Log into your other Microsoft 365 account in the new incognito window
Firefox:
- Open Firefox and log into your Northwestern Microsoft 365 account
- Open the menu (the three lines "hamburger" menu in the top right corner)
- Select "New Private Window" (shortcut keys: CTRL + SHIFT + P)
- Log into your other Microsoft 365 account in the new private window
Safari:
- Open Safari and log into your Northwestern Microsoft 365 account
- Click File > New Private Window (shortcut keys: Shift + Command + N)
- Log into your other Microsoft 365 account in the new private window
Microsoft Edge:
- Open Edge and log into your Northwestern Microsoft 365 account
- Click the “Settings and more” menu (the three dots icon in the top-right corner)
- Click “New InPrivate Window”.
- Log into your other Microsoft 365 account in the new private window
