Feinberg IT provides unique NetIDs reserved for visiting faculty, contractors, and other persons outside the University needing access to Feinberg resources as well as for departments, organizations, and projects.
NetIDs may only be requested by authorized NetID administrators.
If you need to request a Feinberg Affiliate NetID be created for you please reach out to your sponsoring faculty or department's NetID administrator. Typically the NetID administrator will be the department administrator. If that is not the case then the department administrator should be able to refer you to the correct NetID administrator.
Requesting a Feinberg Affiliate NetID
If you are an authorized NetID Administrator and would like to request a Feinberg Affiliate NetID please email fsmhelp@northwestern.edu. Make sure to include the following information regarding the affiliate:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Date of expiration
Affiliate NetIDs can last for up to one year and can be renewed on a yearly basis. Please also include if additional accesses are needed such as:
- A Northwestern email address
- Northwestern Box access
Zoom and Teams access are included by default and do not need to be requested. If you have any questions about this process please email fsmhelp@northwestern.edu.
Renewing a Feinberg Affiliate NetID
If you are an authorized NetID Administrator and would like to renew a Feinberg Affiliate NetID please email fsmhelp@northwestern.edu. Make sure to include the date of expiration.
