The first time you access the eduroam network, you'll need to enter your institutional credentials (your eduroam username and password). As a member of the Northwestern community, your eduroam username is YourNetID@northwestern.edu (i.e., if your NetID is abc123, your username is abc123@northwestern.edu), and your password is your NetID password. Once you've configured your eduroam settings, every subsequent time you connect to an eduroam network, you should connect automatically. If you are not prompted to connect, you may need to review and reenter your username and password.
- Select Settings > Wi-Fi
- Select eduroam from the list of available networks
- Enter YourNetID@northwestern.edu (not your email address) as the Username. If you are visiting from another university that supports eduroam, enter your account username from that institution.
- Enter your NetID password (or home account password) in the Password field
- Tap Join
- If you are prompted to trust the netauth2.northwestern.edu certificate (AddTrust External CA Root), tap Accept
Once your device successfully connects to the network, you will see a check mark to the left of the name eduroam.
