Several manufacturers including Poly (formerly Plantronics) offer compatible Cisco telephone accessories for use with hearing aids as well as for non-hearing impaired users who need more volume than what a telephone can provide.

The Cisco IP Phones 7841, 7861, and 8851 used at Northwestern provide 7800 accessibility features and 8800 accessibility features for the visually and hearing impaired. Many of these features are standard and can be used without requiring any special configuration.
