Resetting Your Teams Audio Conferencing PIN

A PIN is a numeric code that is created for each Microsoft Teams user who is enabled for audio conferencing.  If the meeting host uses the Teams desktop app to start a meeting, a PIN isn't required.  However for call in (audio only) meetings, a PIN is used by the meeting organizer for identification and to start the meeting over the phone.

When users are enabled for Teams Audio Conferencing a welcome email contains their dial-in information and PIN.  If users forget their PIN or they cannot find the welcome email, they can reset their own PIN.

How to reset your PIN

  1. Locate and click Reset PIN from any Teams meeting invitation that you previously created.  You may be prompted for authentication, if not already signed in to Microsoft 365.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
