Teams Premium: Advanced Virtual Appointments

Advanced Virtual Appointments build upon the basic capabilities available in Microsoft Teams and provides enhancements to improve attendee experience, streamline booking management and provide rich data analytics. All Northwestern users with an Microsoft 365 license have access to the Virtual Appointments app in Teams.

Virtual Appointments (basic capabilities)

All users with an M365 license plan have the following features:

• Mobile browser join
• Forms integration
• waiting room
• Bookings schedule accessible within the Virtual Appointments app in Teams
• email confirmations
• additional management from the Bookings service page at https://outlook.office.com/bookings/homepage

Advanced Virtual Appointments

Users assigned a Teams Premium license unlock the following capabilities:

• SMS text notifications
• custom waiting room
• managing appointment queue
• advanced analytics
