Step 1: Receive Invitation
Check your inbox for an email titled “Join Northwestern (Tenant Name) on 1Password”.
Click Join now to begin onboarding.

Step 2: Log in with Microsoft
Sign in using your Northwestern credentials.
Complete Duo MFA as required.

Step 3: Account Setup
Wait briefly while 1Password prepares your account
No action needed—setup completes automatically.

Step 4: Confirmation Email
You’ll receive a Welcome to 1Password message in your email.
Bookmark the URL link for quick access: northwestern-(school/unit).1password.com

Step 5: Access Your Account
Go to the URL and click “Sign in with Microsoft.” Once logged in, you’ll land on the 1Password dashboard. Click “View Vault Items” to access everything shared with you—including your personal Employee Vault and any Shared Vaults assigned to your team.
