Entering Banking Information for Expense Report Reimbursement using the NUFinancials Self-Service Page

This job aid provides information for employees on how to enter banking information in NUFinancials that will be used for direct deposit of their expense report reimbursement.  Please note that this functionality is currently delivered for NUQ staff, faculty and students and the country is currently defaulted and locked down to Qatar (QAT).

  1. Log in to NUFinancials:  nufin.northwestern.edu
  2. Navigate to Menu> Employee Self-Service> Travel and Expenses> Review/Edit Profile

     
  3. Click on the Bank Accounts tab. 
    • The appointment with a check mark on Default Profile would be the default for expense reimbursement.  Employees that have multiple employee records listed can only have one Default Profile.
    • Payment Method for the employee's Default Profile is defaulted and locked down to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).  The other employee records would have payment method of System Check.

  4. Under the Bank Account Info section, select the Bank Account icon to enter banking information.  The Pay to Bank Accounts window opens.
    • The following fields are greyed out and disabled for data entry:
      • Country (Defaulted and locked down to Qatar (QAT))
      • Branch Name (Not Needed)
      • Bank ID Qualifier (Not Needed)
      • Branch ID (Not Needed)
      • Bank Account Number (Calculated Field based on IBAN)
      • Check Digit (Not Needed)
      • DFI Qualifier (Defaulted and locked down to 02 (Swift ID/BIC))
      • DFI ID (Calculated Field based on SWIFT/BIC Code)
    • The following fields are available for data entry:
      • Bank Name (Required)
      • SWIFT/BIC Code (Required)
      • IBAN (Required)

         
  5. Click the Go To Address icon and enter the Bank Address.  
    • The following fields below are required.  The rest of the fields on the Bank Address window are not required.
      • Country (Defaulted to Qatar (QAT))
      • Address 1
      • City

         
  6. Click OK on the Bank Address window.
  7. Click OK on the Pay to Bank Accounts window.
  8. Click the Default check box beside the bank account entered in the Bank Account Info section.
  9. Save.

Please use the same above steps if you need to make changes to your banking information.  Employees only have access to enter a new or modify an existing bank account for their own profile.
