To view your Exchange (Microsoft 365) account on your device or computer, you may need to take additional actions depending on the email program and device you use. Use the information below if one of these situations applies to you.
Android
Mail app on iOS v11 or higher

Notes
- Older devices may not be able to support upgraded versions of the iOS or the latest version of Outlook. These devices will no longer be able to access Northwestern email.
Apple Mail on macOS Catalina (v10.15) or Mojave (v10.14)
Apple Mail on macOS High Sierra (v10.13) or Sierra (v10.12)
Action
- Upgrade to the current version of Apple Mail. For University-owned computers, work with your departmental IT support team to upgrade to a more recent version of the macOS, which will also upgrade the current version of Apple Mail.
- Or use Outlook for Mac. Work with your departmental IT team to install Outlook for Mac. For setup instructions see "Set up your @northwestern.edu (Microsoft 365) account with Duo multi-factor authentication in Outlook for Mac"
Notes
- Some older computers may not be able to support upgraded versions of the macOS or the latest release of Outlook. You may need to access your account using the Outlook Web App (OWA) at https://office365mail.northwestern.edu
