EventHub is comprised of two parts
- The messaging broker (currently ActiveMQ hosted in AWS as part of the Amazon's managed MQ service Amazon MQ). The broker provides highly redundant storage and retrieval of event-based messages used by system/applications to communicate.
- A custom RESTful interface hosted in Amazon Fargate and proxied through Apigee. This RESTful interface allows for a common communication protocol for sending and receiving messages.
The API Service Registry has a list of the currently available messages being publish and allows for users to request access to these messages. Uses can also request access to publish new messages to EventHub via the API Service Registry.
