Device-Northwestern is a wireless network dedicated for specific types of devices to access the Internet such as, game systems, printers, and media devices.
This network supports AirPlay, GoogleCast, AirPrint.
This network should not be used for your computer, smartphone, or tablet because it does not have the same level of security as the eduroam wireless network.

How to Request Service
Click the "Device Wireless Access at Northwestern" button to the right.
This form will enable Northwestern IT network engineers to better identify the device’s campus location and confirm sharing permissions.

Getting Started
Before you set up a device to connect to the Device-Northwestern network, you must register it. Registration takes just a few minutes to complete. You will need to know the MAC address (Media Access Control or unique network hardware address). How to find the MAC address.
If you are connecting a wireless printer, you may need to refer to your printer’s user manual for specific instructions.
Registering A Device for Personal Use
Game System, Printer, or Other Media Device
Go to https://device.wireless.northwestern.edu and log in with your NetID and NetID password.
During registration you have the option to share the device with your laptop/smartphone/tablet, or with other people.
Once you've registered your device, follow your user manual’s instructions to set up the device to use the "Device-Northwestern" network, and it will automatically connect.
Registering a Device for Departmental Use
Printer or Other Media Device
Go to https://device.wireless.northwestern.edu and log in with your NetID and NetID password.
