OneDrive: Error: "We were unable to verify your account."

If you are using the OneDrive application (Windows, Mac, or Mobile) and receive the error message "We were unable to verify your account. Please sign in for ....@northwestern.edu or cancel and try a different account." please follow these instructions.

 

 

1. Visit https://onedrive.northwestern.edu and log in with your Northwestern credentials. 

2. Click on Sync

 

3. If you get a popup that says "Open Microsoft OneDrive?", click "Open Microsoft OneDrive"

 

4. Click "Close" to the "We're syncing your files" popup.
