How can I ensure that surveys I create are accessible to users with disabilities?
Northwestern is committed to purchasing and promoting software that is equally accessible for all users, including those with disabilities. Overall, Qualtrics software is mostly compliant with web accessibility standards for persons with disabilities, and meets required standards for digital accessibility. However, it is possible for end users to design surveys that include questions that make it harder for certain persons (particularly those utilizing third-party screen readers like JAWS) to access and/or complete the survey. Qualtrics has a feature (“Check Survey Accessibility”) that can help end users ensure that surveys they create are accessible and compliant with Northwestern's WCAG 2.x AA standard. Additional details on the “Check Survey Accessibility” function can be found here: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-tools/check-survey-accessibility/.
