Northwestern offers a central Qualtrics environment to all students, faculty, staff, and affiliates. However, certain schools and departments have their own separate Qualtrics environments with specific branding and additional features. You can have a Qualtrics account tied to your NetID in the main Northwestern Qualtrics environment and still maintain a separate account in your school or department's Qualtrics environment.
The process for logging in to Qualtrics varies based on which environment you need to access.
To request access to a Qualtrics environment outside of the central Northwestern environment, please contact your local IT department.
If you already have a Qualtrics account for your school or department
If you already have an account to your department or school's specific Qualtrics environment (see above), take the following steps to log in:
- Find the login link for your Qualtrics environment, above. Alternately, go to http://login.qualtrics.com
- Enter your username and password, and click Log In
- Your username would have been set up by your Qualtrics administrator. It may or may not be your Northwestern email address
- If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot password link
- Note: Feinberg School of Medicine and Weinberg College use NetID and password to log in.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to access your existing surveys.
If you are logging in to Qualtrics for the first time
You can access the main Northwestern Qualtrics environment by taking the following steps:
- Go to http://northwestern.qualtrics.com
- Enter your NetID and NetID password, and click Log In
- At the prompt, choose No, I don't have a preexisting account here
- Note: if you choose Yes, I have a preexisting account here, you will be given the option to log in to your existing Qualtrics account. If you do this, your Qualtrics account and surveys will be migrated into the main Northwestern Qualtrics environment. You will lose access to any other environments' specific branding and additional features, if any.
- A new account will be created for your Northwestern account.
To request access to a specific Qualtrics environment aside from the main Northwestern Qualtrics environment, please contact your local IT support personnel.
