You should be able to connect automatically to the eduroam Wireless Network with YourNetID@northwestern.edu (i.e., if your NetID is abc123, then you would enter abc123@northwestern.edu) as the username and your NetID password as the password through your Network Preferences. If you were not prompted to connect, you can manually configure your connection.
- Click on the WiFi icon at the bottom right of the screen.
- Click the Wireless section and select eduroam from the menu.
- Enter WiFi Network settings for eduroam.
- NOTE: In some instances, you may have to change the Server CA Certificate to 'Do Not Check':
- SSID eduroam
- EAP method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
- CA Certificate Use system certificates (must install cert linked to the right) or Do not Check
- Identity/Username: Your NetID@northwestern.edu (i.e., if your NetID is abc123, then you would enter abc123@northwestern.edu)
- Password NetID password
- Anonymous Identity: leave blank
- Save Identity and Password
- Select Connect.
