Connecting to eduroam on Chromebook

You should be able to connect automatically to the eduroam Wireless Network with YourNetID@northwestern.edu (i.e., if your NetID is abc123, then you would enter abc123@northwestern.edu) as the username and your NetID password as the password through your Network Preferences. If you were not prompted to connect, you can manually configure your connection.

1. Click on the WiFi icon at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Click the Wireless section and select eduroam from the menu.
3. Enter WiFi Network settings for eduroam.
4. NOTE: In some instances, you may have to change the Server CA Certificate to 'Do Not Check':
   • SSID eduroam
   • EAP method: PEAP
   • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
   • CA Certificate Use system certificates (must install cert linked to the right) or Do not Check
   • Identity/Username: Your NetID@northwestern.edu (i.e., if your NetID is abc123, then you would enter abc123@northwestern.edu)
   • Password NetID password
   • Anonymous Identity: leave blank
   • Save Identity and Password
   • Select Connect.
