Problems Accessing Shared Outlook Mailboxes and Calendars in Windows

Step 1. Be sure that the "New Outlook" switch in the upper right hand corner is turned off.


The switch should be Turned OFF,  the New Outlook on windows is not currently supported at Northwestern. 

 

If this is ON, after you turn it off, you may still need to follow the steps below:

Step 2. Open your Outlook:

Click the >File menu

Then select >Account Settings

 

Double click on your email account, or select your account and click on the change button

 

Select More Settings button

 

Click Advanced Tab:

 

Make sure Download Shared Folders is NOT checked, and turn off "Shared Calendar Improvements" Outlook client will need to be restarted

 

Click OK and restart Outlook
