If you exceed your OneDrive storage quota, here’s what happens:
- You won’t be able to upload, edit, or sync new files to your OneDrive.
- Your existing files will remain but will be read-only.
How to view how much storage you are using in your OneDrive
- Log into Office.com with your Northwestern email address or netid@ads.northwestern.edu
- Click on the waffle in the upper left hand corner and select OneDrive.
- In the bottom left hand corner of the page you will see "Storage".
Actions to Take:
- Delete Files: To get back under your storage limit, delete some files. Your files will remain read-only, but you can download or delete them.
- Move Files: To get back under your storage limit, you can move files to a SharePoint site or alternative storage option.
