My OneDrive Says it's full

Tags OneDrive

If you exceed your OneDrive storage quota, here’s what happens:

  1. You won’t be able to upload, edit, or sync new files to your OneDrive.
  2. Your existing files will remain but will be read-only.

How to view how much storage you are using in your OneDrive

  1. Log into Office.com with your Northwestern email address or netid@ads.northwestern.edu
  2. Click on the waffle in the upper left hand corner and select OneDrive.
  3. In the bottom left hand corner of the page you will see "Storage".  Files in your recycling bin do not count against your quota.

Actions to Take:

  • Delete Files: To get back under your storage limit, delete some files. Your files will remain read-only, but you can download or delete them.
  • Move Files: To get back under your storage limit, you can move files to a SharePoint site or alternative storage option.
