Research Administration staff can check the status of several item types in CERES. These include checking the status of a submission to a sponsor, an Award Modification Request, or the status of an Advance Account or award set-up.
Within the item record, the History and Correspondence tabs track activity on an item. These tabs allow you to see the work-flow for each item, what stage an item is at, who initiated each stage, as well as track the conversation surrounding an item and actions that have been completed or are still “To-do.”

If you are unable to find the status information you need and must contact Sponsored Research (SR), use the “Send E-mail” feature within CERES as it provides a direct link to the record and provides the greatest transparency to SR staff if a request must be reassigned.
