Summary

To print from self-managed faculty and staff devices, install Mobility Print to add Northwestern Print queues. Mobility Print supports Android, Chrome OS, iOS, macOS, and Windows, and requires admin rights to install.

Body

Overview

Faculty and staff using computers not managed by a departmental IT support team will not have Northwestern Print queues installed automatically. To print using the native operating system interface, users must manually install the queues via Mobility Print.

What is Mobility Print?

Mobility Print provides OS native printing for self-managed devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and Chromebooks. It supports multiple platforms: Android, Chrome OS, iOS, macOS, and Windows. It enables both managed and unmanaged devices to print securely to Northwestern Print devices.

Important Notes

  • Administrator rights are required to install Mobility Print.
  • Mobility Print is intended for single-user devices. For shared or multi-user computers, consider using Print Deploy instead.
