Northwestern Print: Support Responsibilities

Support responsibilities for Northwestern Print will be shared between Northwestern University IT (Information Technology groups) and Ricoh.   

 Faculty & Staff 

Local support IT groups will supply the primary support for faculty and staff in their schools, departments, and units. Schools or units whose primary support comes from central IT will continue to receive support in that manner.  Local IT support will pull in Ricoh administrators and hardware support when needed.  See Northwestern Print: Printing Services Support for Faculty and Staff for more information.  

 Hardware Support 

Ricoh will supply all support for the Ricoh hardware (multi-functional devices (MFD) and Single-functional devices (SFDs). Ricoh handles the cloud server infrastructure and the management & support services for the Northwestern University print output environment.   

Student support

Library staff will continue to aid students with printing issues. There will be extensive support pages and Knowledge Base articles addressing the most common student printing issues. The library will help students reprint requests and refunds for failed printing and print quotas. See KB articles:   

 

 ​​​​​​Wildcard and NetID issues 

Issues with NetID authentication may need to be directed to the Northwestern IT HelpDesk. Issues with a WildCard may need to be directed to the WildCard Office to be resolved. 

 

Cat Cash Support  

Issues with student Cat Cash accounts will be resolved by NU (Northwestern University) Dining - dining@northwestern.edu
