How to use multiple monitors in macOS

The following steps will help configure multiple monitors on your macOS device.
Connect your laptop to the external monitor via a display cable, hub/adapter, or docking station. A prompt may appear to allow the device, select
Allow
.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays.
Select the
Arrange
button.
Each monitor including the laptop screen will appear as a window. Select a windows and red border will appear around the screen.
Rearrange the screens by dragging the windows.
To change your primary display, drag the white toolbar to the monitor screen you prefer to be your primary.
