Classroom Technology Support

Technology enhanced learning spaces at Northwestern foster opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, specialized software, assistive listening devices, networking, and audio/visual capabilities. These spaces are available to the University community and require a reservation prior to use. Reserve a classroom.

Northwestern Information Technology Media and Design provides services for technology-enhanced learning spaces directly controlled by the Office of the Registrar on the Evanston campus and several more contracted by specific University schools and departments on the Evanston and Chicago campuses. Services for these spaces include user training and orientation, computer and classroom control system oversight and maintenance, and immediate response for urgent requests.

Digital Learning Tools

Canvas, Zoom, Panopto, and other learning management tools which support the management and sharing of class materials (e.g., videos, documents, spreadsheets, etc.).

Digital Course Development

Northwestern IT provides consulting services to ensure that faculty and other course creators have the knowledge and assistance they need to optimize their effectiveness in the use of teaching and learning technologies.

Lecture Capture

Lecture capture services for University schools, departments, and business units provide users with the ability to record and archive lecture videos for live or on-demand viewing from a web browser.
